Now the NFC:
1. Minnesota Vikings:
Strength: There strength is at the WR position. They have 3 solid guys in Percy Harvin, Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian. And all make for great weapons for Brett Favre or whoever is QB.
Weakness: The weakness is and will in my opinion be the CB core. Winfield is there best CB, and the rest are average, Griffin got a big payday but hasn’t lived up to it.
2. New Orleans Saints:
Strength: The strength of the Saints is there WR core, they have Meachem and Colston. They are as solid as you can get, and make it easy for Drew Brees to look good, not that he doesn’t already.
Weakness: The weakness is the LB core, they lost Fujita, and really need someone to step up.
3. Dallas Cowboys:
Strength: WR is a huge plus for Dallas. Dez Bryant to go with Miles Austin, who may be the best WR in the game right now. Then you have Sam Hurd, Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton, all are capable of getting 80-100 yards in a single game.
Weakness: The weakness for Dallas might be there O Line, they got rid of Flozell Adams and need someone to step up, if not it may be a long year for Romo.
4. Green Bay Packers:
Strength: The Packers have a great WR core as well. when you look at Greg Jennings, you think a defenite #1 WR, and there secondary guys aren’t too shabby either.
Weakness: I’m worried about the D Line, they lost Aaron Kampman, and didn’t really replace him with anyone that might make a big impact.
5. San Francisco 49ers:
Strength: The 49ers strength is the Defense, well the LB core. Willis and Spikes are a great tandem at ILB as you will get in the NFL, and Lawson, Brooks and Haralson are all solid.
Weakness: What concerns me is the QB play, it will make or break the 49ers season, if Alex Smith or any QB comes out firing, then there a playoff team for sure.
6. Atlanta Falcons:
Strength: The Falcons strength now is at WR with Roddy White and Brian Finneran.
Weakness: The LB core scares me, they lost Brooking a season ago and never replaced him with much, Peterson hasn’t panned out yet, so it’s a wait and see with that group.
And that concludes our 2 installment segments of the top teams in the NFL.
